My love of the outdoors and plant life kept me in Oregon. I started my career at General Tree Service in 1994. I worked as a climber and plant healthcare technician for many years.

Neil Olson-Vancouver and North Portland
I have over 10 years of experience providing top-notch outdoor services in Florida, Idaho, and now Oregon and Washington.
I grew up in Orlando, Florida where I learned to love horticulture at an early age from my parents, whom were avid gardeners as well as from my uncle, a citrus grower and cultivator of many exotic plant species. I later went on to study horticulture at community college.
As an ISA Certified arborist and licensed commercial pesticide applicator, I strive to be on the cutting edge of green industry professional standards and best practices. My mission is to provide informed, high quality professional care for trees and other landscape needs.
When I’m not working with plants, I’m usually playing around them! I enjoy outdoor activities such as running, camping, hiking and just exploring in general.
Paul Jackson-SW and NW Portland
I’ve had an interest in trees for as long as I can remember. In high school, I started working in a retail nursery where my interest in all forms of plant material grew. I enrolled in horticultural classes and worked at a wholesale nursery through college.
Having studied courses through horticulture departments at Mount Hood, Portland, and Clackamas Community College, I earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Landscape Technology from Portland Community College.
My involvement in the green industry spans 30 years during which I owned and operated a plant health care company for 23 years. The past 7 years were spent working as a sales arborist.
I am an ISA certified arborist & tree risk assessor, and licensed commercial pesticide applicator through the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
I enjoy continuing to learn about trees and fortunate enough to join the team of talented professionals at General Tree Service where I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to serve our customers.
When not consulting about trees, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our two grown children and our Golden Retriever, Vince.
